If you are looking to customize the WorldClient templates you will need to have the following skills to do more than minor changes:
• HTML – Hyper-Text Markup Language, the language that Web based documents are written in.
• CSS – Cascading Style Sheets, the language that can be embedded in or pointed to from HTML that defines some of the appearance of the page.
• JavaScript – The programming language that is cross-browser (to a certain degree) and is used in WorldClient to handle much of the form processing and new windows that appear within the interface.
• Some basic programming logic understanding (for the If/Else programming statements)
WorldClient is a CGI application that has two statement tag sets and many tags that expand (output) data to the HTML page. This paper intends to explain how WCML language works within the HTML pages, how the server handles data requests, and how to handle certain deficiencies. |
